Tunis (ANTARA News/AFP) - Tunisia`s interim government on Monday named Mouldi Kefi as the new minister of foreign affairs, the official TAP news agency reported, after the previous minister quit a week ago.
"Mouldi Kefi has been designated minister of foreign affairs in the transitional government," TAP said, citing an official source in the presidency.
Kefi, expected to be sworn in Monday, has previously served as ambassador to Jakarta.
He succeeds Ahmed Ounaies who quit on February 13 after two weeks in the government established after the fall of long-time president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in a wave of protests that sparked other uprisings in the region.
