TUNIS, Aug.
28 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian police arrested a Libyan agent and his Tunisian
accomplices in southern Tunisia, Radio Express FM reported Sunday.
The man who
recruited and paid Tunisian nationals an initial amount of 600 dinars (about
450 U.S. dollars) to abduct Libyan rebels and plan attacks on fuel trucks
headed for the Libyan capital, was arrested along with two Tunisians, following
a tip off, the radio said.
Last week,
a Libyan army officer turned himself to Tunisian military authorities, after
refusing to bomb an Arab embassy in the capital, a military spokesman reported.
The attack had been planned by Gaddafi himself, the officer said.
